Research and documentation

CCDS manages Pune’s only cross-sectoral documentation and reference centre on issues related to environment, natural resource management, disaster management, poverty and livelihoods, public health, population, women and child rights, micro-credit, panchayati raj, disabilities etc.

This documentation and resource centre is located at Prabhat Road, in the heart of Pune’s educational and business district. The centre stocks India’s leading newspapers and magazines as well as several national and international journals and periodicals.

The documentation centre also has a library of books on development and rights issues. We house Pune’s only resource centre for Indian documentary cinema on themes such as gender, ecology and pluralism. These film resources are much in demand with local institutions and NGOs who borrow the films for public screenings, awareness sessions etc.
